Save on Broadway Tickets

Save on Broadway Tickets

Jen’s Take:
I often save on Broadway tickets using lotteries or discount platforms. Unless the show is closing soon, then I might splurge on full price.

Below are the platforms I use to win or save. Each one works a bit differently, but the general rule is to play to win 1–2 tickets the morning before the show, some platforms allow a few days prior.
Example: If I want to attend a matinee or evening show tomorrow, I’ll play the lottery today, usually before noon.

Helpful Tips to Save on Broadway:

  1. Set Notifications:
Opt for email and text notifications so you don’t miss the good news! Most platforms will also notify you if you lose.
  2. Act Fast:
Once you win, pay the service fee or discounted ticket price immediately. Generally, each platform has a specific purchase window—sometimes as short as 1 hour. As a result, I’ve missed some great shows by waiting too long!
  3. Know the Costs:
The service fee generally ranges between $30–$40 per ticket. It’s not technically free, but it’s a huge saving compared to face value.
  4. Increase Your Odds:
Play for multiple shows across different platforms to boost your chances. It increases my wins significantly!
  5. Be Prepared:
Lastly, some platforms require a quick account setup or linking a social media account to participate.

By the way, I win mostly on Telecharge and Lucky Seat!
